Mildred "Millie" T. Brungraber

July 4, 1924 ~ December 29, 2017 (age 93) 93 Years Old


     Mildred T. Brungraber, 93 years, of the Town of Egg Harbor, passed away Friday morning, December 29, 2017 in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.

     She was born at the family home in Town of Egg Harbor on July 4, 1924, the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Miller) Kuehn. Millie attended Sunny Point School. On April 18, 1942, she was united in marriage to Arthur Paul Brungraber.

     Millie was a member of the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and baking. Above all, Millie loved being with her family.

     She will be deeply missed by her children, Gerhardt (Margaret) Brungraber of Shawano, daughter-in-law, Kathy Brungraber of Sturgeon Bay, Paul (Cindy) Brungraber of Vail, AZ, Wayne (Bev) Brungraber, Randy (Sue) Brungraber, both of Sturgeon Bay, and Rick (Sherri) Brungraber of Egg Harbor; son-in-law, Steve Custer of Tucson, AZ; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and sister, Myrtle Drexler of Sturgeon Bay.

     Millie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two children, Allan Brungraber (7-9-1997) and Judy Custer; and brother and sister, Alvin Kuehn and Doris Dier.

     Her life will be honored with a funeral service held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2017 at the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church with Rev. Reeder Herrick officiating. Millie will be laid to rest beside her husband, Arthur, in Lakeview Cemetery in Jacksonport.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening, January 3, 2017 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and at the church, Thursday morning, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. 

     “Our family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staffs at Door County Medical Center and Unity Hospice for taking such good care of our mother and grandmother. It was comforting to us all.”
