     Marilyn I. Grose, 89, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

     She was born September 11, 1927 in Fairview Park, Ohio, the daughter of the late John Howard MacLennan and Vera Sophia (Frese) MacLennan. Marilyn graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1945. She worked at the Elyria Library in Ohio for six years, then the Draft Board for a few years until 1964 when she was hired to work for the U.S. Army Recruiting Command in Cleveland, Ohio, until her retirement in 1987.

     Marilyn was the organist for Christ the King Episcopal Church in Sturgeon Bay for many years where she was a member. She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, bowling, and was a Packer fan. Marilyn was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Honor Chapter #1, Daughters of the Nile, the Hospital Auxiliary, all in Sturgeon Bay, and the NARFE.

     She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Ronald) Harmon of Grafton, OH; grandson, Christopher Roth of Lakewood, CA, granddaughter, Jennifer (James) Ennemoser of Ravenna, OH; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Kathryn Ennemoser; sister, Mary Perry of Sturgeon Bay; many beloved nieces and nephews; and friends. 

     Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, John Howard and Vera MacLennan; and six siblings, Robert, Kathryn MacDonald, Donald, Howard, Annette Kolstad, and Ruth Howe.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Christ the King Episcopal Church in Sturgeon Bay with Fr. Olin Sletto, Vicar, officiating. Burial will follow in Bayside Cemetery. An Eastern Star service will be held at the church prior to the funeral at 10:45 a.m.

     Friends may call at the church on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:45 a.m.

     Memorials may be given in Marilyn’s honor to Shriners Hospitals (www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org‎) or the Order of the Eastern Star Honor Chapter #1 (P.O. Box 86, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235).
