Marilyn Eberhardt Obituary

     Marilyn Annette Eberhardt, 88, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, passed away late Monday morning, April 2, 2018 at Door County Medical Center.

     She was born March 22, 1930 in Savanna, IL, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Hanny and Della Marie (Kirky) Hanny. Marilyn graduated from Hanover High School in Hanover, IL. She was united in marriage to Richard Slater Eberhardt on December 27, 1951 in Hanover, IL where they lived for 62 years. Marilyn and Dick shared over 60 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2013.

     Marilyn was employed as the secretary to the superintendent for the Hanover School District for 30 some years. She was a former member of the Hanover United Methodist Church in Illinois.

     Marilyn is survived by her two nieces and one nephew, Susan (Jack) Moneypenny of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Greg (Tina) Hanny of Farmersville, OH, and Kelly (David) Fox of Lewisville, TX; other relatives; and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, John Hanny.

     A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Hanover United Methodist Church, 110 Monroe St., Hanover, IL 61041 with Pastor Bill Blomberg officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Hanover.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
