Margaret "Maggie" Ann De Meuse, 54, of the Town of Sevastopol, was called Home to be with the Lord, Sunday evening, February 11, 2018 while in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.

She was born September 18, 1963 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of Robert John Skippon, Sr., and Marylou (Leslie) Skippon. Maggie graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1981. She was united in marriage to Larry John De Meuse on September 22, 1990 at Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Institute where she remained a lifelong member.

Maggie worked as a waitress at the Scandia Supper Club in Sturgeon Bay. She was a machine operator for Emerson and then N.E.W. Industries. Maggie was employed with Door County Medical Center and the Lull-Abi Inn of Egg Harbor. She also supported her husband on the family farm.

Maggie was a hard worker and always had a job. She was athletic and loved sports. Maggie had a great appreciation and passion for any sport her children were involved in. Her greatest love though, was for her family; she was especially proud of her children.

Maggie’s love will live on in the hearts of her husband, Larry of the Town of Sevastopol; son and daughter, Christopher De Meuse and Jessica De Meuse, both of Green Bay; father, Robert Skippon, Sr., of Sturgeon Bay; six siblings, Daniel Skippon of Hartford, WI, Michael (Kandie) Skippon of West Jacksonport, Betty (Tom) Schulze, Mary (Ron) Frando, Lori Skippon, all of Sturgeon Bay, and Robert Skippon, Jr., of Forestville; other relatives; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Maggie’s life will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Institute with Fr. Robert Stegmann as celebrant. Maggie will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with a parish wake service to be held at 7:45 p.m. Visitation will continue at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Saturday morning, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:50 a.m.

Memorials may be given in her memory.
