Kristin Konrad Obituary

Kristin E. Konrad, 66, of Sturgeon Bay, went to her eternal home to be with her Savior on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Door County Medical Center.

She was born August 29, 1951 in Sturgeon Bay. Kristin was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. Kristin graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1969 went on to study at Door Kewaunee Teachers College where she graduated in 1971. She raised her family and was very proud that she began working at the Dorchester Nursing Home in housekeeping and retired as a Registered Head Night Nurse at the same facility, having graduated from the Nursing program at NWTC in 1994.

Kristin had a deep love for her children and a special love for each and every one of her grandchildren. She so enjoyed spending as much time as she could with each one.

Kristin will be missed by her three children, Jonathan of Sturgeon Bay, Jennifer Wilson of Green Bay, and Amanda (Chad) Gerdmann of Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren, Silviamae and Emily Konrad, Isabel Tong, Adrian Castrop, and Cora and Nathan Gerdmann; her loving companion of 20 years, John Fitchett; three sisters, Jeannine Eggert, Lois (Darrell) Jeremiassen, and Nancy (Richard) Schneider; nieces and nephews; other family; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elden and Lauretta Jorgenson; and infant sons.

Kristin's life will be honored with a memorial service held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Shiloh Road, Sturgeon Bay.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
