Kenneth W. Schultz

June 7, 1931 ~ December 2, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years Old

Kenneth W. Schultz, 86, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, was born to eternal life on Saturday, December 2, 2017 surrounded by his family.

He was born June 7, 1931 in Rome, WI the son of the late Arthur and Hazel (Wilkening) Schultz. Ken graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee. He was a very proud City of Milwaukee firefighter for 31 years. Ken was equally happy to say that he was a retiree for 31 years, enjoying his cars, motorcycles, camping, traveling, and annually wintering in Florida. He was a Korean War Army Veteran and was thrilled to participate in a Stars and Stripes Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. accompanied by his son, Scott. Ken lived a life of service and was happiest when he could help out friends and family in any way he could. He was quick to convey his pride in his children and grandchildren and was always anxious to share that pleasure with others.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Carol; beloved children, Sharon (the late Dan) Gardner, Debbie (the late John) Rewasiewicz, and Scott (Janet) Schultz. Further survived by his cherished grandchildren, Jason, Steven, Ryan, Lisa, Mackenzie and Sam; and his dear great grandchildren, Daniel, Olivia, Ethan, Nicole, Nova, Everly and Emerson. His stepchildren, Cindy (Chris) Elgetti, Susie Nowak, and Dan Ewaskowitz; step-daughter-in-law, Sandy Ewaskowitz; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Further survived by a sister-in-law; nephew, nieces; many close friends; and his helpful neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Schultz, sister, Doris Miller; his stepson, Dennis Ewaskowitz; and step granddaughter, Brittany Ewaskowitz.

Visitation will be held at Bay View Lutheran church in Sturgeon Bay on Saturday, December 9th from 10:30 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 12:00 noon, with Rev. Tim Malek officiating. Military honors will follow the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Ken’s memory to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, P.O. Box 636, Port Washington, Wisconsin 53074.
