He was born July 18, 1961 in Milwaukee, the son of Norman and Margaret (Randazzo) Gustafson. Gary operated G-Man painting business and was an accomplished yacht painter. On December 31, 2016, he married his best friend, Sandra “Sandy” R. LaViolette, in Algoma.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Sandra LaViolette; two daughters, Destiny and Cassandra Hoeff; his mother, Margaret Gustafson; sister, Donna Gustafson; and five step-children, Ezekiel, Sarah, Zeph, Psalm, Samuel; ten step-grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Norman Gustafson; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Irene Gustafson; maternal grandparents, Vincent and Margaret Randazzo; aunts, Marie Kiedrowski and Janet Claflin; uncle, Vernon Gustafson; and parents-in-law, Howard and Betty LaViolette. Scooby, Gary and Sandy’s dog, joined him in eternal life as a result of riding with Gary during the accident.
Gary’s life will be honored with a funeral service held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m.
