Joan Marie Nystrom

     Joan Marie Nystrom, 84, of Baileys Harbor, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay. 

     She was born November 20, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna J. (Hjornstad) Lura. In 1955, she married Karl Henry Nystrom. He preceded her in death in 2017. 

     Joan was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Baileys Harbor. She enjoyed card club, DC crafts, was a member of the Friendly Crafters group where she enjoyed crafting, stamping, and with most of her free time, you could find Joan fishing off Anderson Dock. 

     Joan is survived by her two sons, David (Susan) Nystrom of Dewey-Humboldt, AZ, and Dan Daniel Nystrom of Sturgeon Bay. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter; Debra Nystrom.

     A service will be held at a later date. 

     Donations can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Joan Nystrom.
