Jerome J. Wesa

     Jerome J. Wesa, 73, of Sturgeon Bay, formerly of Milwaukee, died suddenly at his home Monday, March 16, 2020 in Sturgeon Bay.

     He was born June 8, 1946 in Milwaukee, the son of the late Leon and Margaret (Bruneski) Wesa. Jerry graduated from St. John Bosco High School (now St. Thomas More) in Milwaukee. He worked in retail sales throughout his working career. Eventually Jerry’s skills led him into the management of various stores throughout the Milwaukee area. More notable businesses were Jewel T, and Odd Lots, to mention a few.

     On July 18, 2003, he married Patricia Jeane Andorfer in Milwaukee.

     Jerry was a member of Stella Maris Parish in Door County. He volunteered at the church with the food pantry and also helped with Loaves & Fishes community meals. Jerry enjoyed watching movies and was an avid Packers and NASCAR fan.

     He will be missed by his wife, Patricia; two children, Kristin (Mike) Thayer and Scott Wesa; three stepchildren, Terese DeFouw, Tiffany (Bradley) Richards, and Kenneth “Kenny” DeFouw; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison, and Joshua; and cousins.

     Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Karri Wesa.

     Private family services will be held at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay.

     A Mass will be held in Milwaukee at a later date.

     Burial will be in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in Baileys Harbor.
