Virginia "Virgie" Ann Martinson

     Virginia “Virgie” Ann Martinson, 85, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, died Monday February 6, 2017 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst, IL.

     She was born July 29, 1931 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Cheslia) Miller. Virginia was raised by her mother and step-father, Arthur Reddig who also preceded her in death. On April 29, 1950, she was united in marriage to Roman A. Martinson in Chicago. He preceded her in death.

     Virginia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay and the Christian Mothers. She just loved being a devoted wife and mom to her three sons and their families.

     Virginia will be missed by her sons, Ken (Linda) Martinson, Randy (Diana) Martinson, Don (Patricia) Martinson; grandchildren, Todd (Tracy), Keith, Ashley, Sarah, Eric (Tiffani), Kristi (Jason), Staci (Tim), Stephanie (Larry), Adam and Alex; and great-grandchildren, Roman, Faith, Hector, and Mia.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, step father; husband, Roman; brother, Robert Miller; and sister, Bernadette Kendzoira.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay with Fr. Robert Stegmann as celebrant. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery following the Mass.

     Friends may call 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and at the church, Monday morning, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
