Mary Ann Bruechert

     Mary Ann Bruechert, 90, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 9, 2017 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay with family at her side.

     She was born May 21, 1927 in McIntyre, Georgia, the daughter of the late Fred and Francis (Fleming) Brewer.

     Mary Ann was united in marriage to Otto E. Bruechert in Macon, GA on May 14, 1948. They returned Otto’s hometown of Two Rivers shortly thereafter. Otto passed away on July 23, 1995. She moved to Sturgeon Bay in May of 2000.

     Mary Ann especially enjoyed time spent with her family and dear friends. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading. 

     Mary Ann’s love will live on in the hearts of three daughters and two sons, Patricia (Tom) Cigler of Sturgeon Bay, Mary Jo (Steve) Tittle of Minnesota, Nancy (David) Meyer of Manitowoc, Lee (Lori) Bruechert, and Richard (friend, Josie) Bruechert, both of Two Rivers; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; cousin, Jo Marsene Davis of Warner Robins, GA, who was like a sister to her; and dear friend, Gladys M. of Manitowoc.

     Private family services will be held at Huehns Funeral Home on Monday, August 14, 2017 with burial to follow at Forest View Cemetery in Two Rivers.

     The family would like to express a special thanks to Aurora Hospice, the 4th Floor Nursing Staff at Aurora BayCare, and the Door County Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility for the kindness shown and compassionate care given to our mother, Mary Ann, when she needed it most.
