Joseph Paul LeMere, Jr.

     Joseph Paul LeMere, Jr., 85, of Florence, KY, formerly of Egg Harbor, passed away on August 23, 2015 at his residence.

     He was born June 10, 1930 in Sturgeon Bay, the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Parent) LeMere. Paul was a graduate of Gibraltar High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received his degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a retired Aerospace Engineer, having worked for 12 ½ years in the Aerospace Division of General Motors Corp. He continued his work at AC Electronics (now AC Delco) and retired in 1992 from Honeywell after 25 years.

     He served our country in the United States Army in Korea where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. He was a member of Stella Maris Parish in Egg Harbor, regularly attended Blessed Sacrament Church in Ft. Mitchell, KY. Paul was a 3rd and 4th degree and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Dunedin, FL, member of VFW, American Legion, IEEE, ORT, and a proud Green Bay Packer shareholder.

     After enjoying his retirement in Florida, Paul moved closer to his daughter, Suzanne, in Kentucky.

     Survivors include his loving daughter, Suzanne (Eric) Guerin of Florence, KY; and her mother, Mary LeMere of Clearwater, FL; granddaughter, Emilie Guerin of Florence, KY; and brother, Peter (Marian) LeMere of Green Bay, WI.

     A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Stella Maris Parish-Egg Harbor site from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Egg Harbor.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth Street NW, Washington, DC 20006-3517.

     Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Huehns Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Sturgeon Bay.
