Bradly Paul Marth

     Bradly Paul Marth, 50, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away in the loving arms of his family early Thursday morning, June 1, 2017 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

     He was born March 8, 1967 in Sturgeon Bay, the son of Paul Willard Marth and Sue Ann (Ames) Marth. Brad graduated from Southern Door High School in 1985 and moved to Florida several years later. Through his employment there, he was able to earn his pilot license. Brad eventually returned home to Wisconsin after his son, Alexander, was born. Like his father, he worked in carpentry and construction and was self-employed.

     Brad fought an uphill battle throughout his life, especially with his health. He was diagnosed with “brittle” diabetes, a rare form characterized by sudden, inconsistent fluctuations of one’s blood glucose level, which made it extremely difficult for him to manage (medically). Brad always persevered, though, no matter how bad it was. He received tremendous love and support from his family whom he loved very much. Brad supported others experiencing similar health issues through various social media groups. His chihuahua, Sid, was his buddy and was always right there by his side. Brad liked riding anything fast and dangerous, especially his motorcycle. He was always fixing things whether it was in a car or in a home. Brad enjoyed hunting and fishing earlier in life before his health prevented him from doing so. He also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Southern Door Fire Department in Forestville.

     Brad will be deeply missed by his three children, Melanie (Jay) Wahlen of Sturgeon Bay, Alex (Katherine) Marth of Baltimore, MD, Alesha Marth of Sturgeon Bay; five grandchildren, Hannah, Grace, Abigail, Lillian, and Rayne; brother, Benjamin (Robin) Marth [and their son, Clayton] of Fishers, IN; brother-in-law, Steve Schoettler of Appleton, WI; two nieces, Stephanie and Chelsea [and her daughter, Hailey] Schoettler; uncle, Pete Marth of San Antonio, TX; other relatives; and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bethany Schoettler; and aunt, Ann Marth.

     Brad’s life will be celebrated by family at a later date.
